Illusio

An AR engine designed to be lightweight, written in Java on libGDX. It combines 2.5D/3D scene rendering already in use with development towards AR glasses and AR devices.

Illusio

Technical foundation

Illusio is a TRKYE engine built on the Java framework libGDX. It provides building blocks for spatial scene rendering and integrating AR content into applications.

Already in use: Mental Aerobic

Mental Aerobic uses Illusio for 2.5D AR relaxation scenes after game rounds. This demonstrates how a component technology can support an application in its own right.

Direction: AR devices

The engine is designed for further development towards AR glasses and devices with a display and camera. The aim is to let AR applications place digital elements in the camera view and relate them to the observed environment.

Perception and context

Computer vision, object recognition, tracking and additional sensor integration are part of the technical development framework. This describes the direction; available functionality is specified by component, product version and device integration.

Integration and scope

Supported devices, interfaces, components and licensing terms are discussed for each project. Lightweight describes the design approach, not a general performance or compatibility guarantee. Detailed technical documentation is shared for a concrete discussion.
